black boxes, tom's post, and or of people getting 'hurt'...

Phil, no it is not just you, if you count my company (for better or
worse.) The notion that there are folk of such ill repute, thought and
inclination as to condone the imprisonment (for ten years was it?) is
fundamentaly abhorent to me. They are the essence of that which is counter
to and in avoidance of such high falutin concerns and pusuits as art, craft,
freedom, the search for truth, and justice. They are representative of those
fascists priniciples and persuits that a casual perusal of the past century
reveals in all of its resplendant gore.
An addendum to the cattle metaphor would be that of a crazed charging
bull. Unfortunately, when the species human lets the primitive adrenal
juices and mindless suspicisions dictate behavior there is the inherent
danger of being gored and stomped to bits by the stampeding mob. Hopefully
there will more, not less, resononed public discourse along these very lines
before things spin out of control completely.

Dear Sam,

You ask...any comments?

Well...

You say the artist should get 'ten years' in prison to
contemplate how other people, afterward, who were not there,
and who have heard nothing about anyone's having been
inconvenienced in any way from the 'Art', and as these other
people have imagined exigencies as did not occur, and would
not occur unless silly people were to 'panic' because a
boy-young man is setting up some boxes painted black with
the word fear on them...

I am not understanding all this ire being sumonned or vented
like this, over a non event, as had no 'consequences', and
was or is germain, if to anything at all, only I think, to
how people comeing upon something they may not understand
are responsible to themselves to behave as Men and Woman,
and not to behave like cattle who should stampede from some
noise, a 'word' or a Snake, or a piece of paper fluttering
in the wind.

All of these censures seem to tacitly admit, that people are
no better than nervous 'cattle', and not to treat them as
such should be severely punished?

Is it just me, or is there something 'wrong' with this
'picture'?

In I hope a healthy discourse,

Regards,

Phil

Has anybody thought of someone getting a heart attack
and dying or perhaps a panic where there are people
being trampled, or perhaps a misarriage? It make no
sense to do something to possibly hurt people and call
it "art". B-S! - the "artist" should get a minimum of
ten years in a hard time Fed prison to contimplate on
the possible consequences. Sam in Daly City CA. P.S. I
am a recent retired employee of UAL (who lost TWO
airplanes full of people on 9-11). Any comments?
