Some are aware of this, some are not - When you write in a link to a
web address, in order to have it become an active or live link, you
MUST write out the entire link.
Example: www.tomandelainecoleman.com - this is not a live link, it's
missing http://
The reader needs to copy, then paste the address.
If it is written: http://www.tomandelainecoleman.com most all email &
word processing programs will create the live link.
Just a little courtesy,

bill,
it might also have a lot to do with your browser, mine makes all of
those "live" links.

Actually this depends on what browser you're using. My old
Netscape 4.79(Mac) needed the http:// but now I'm using Netscape
7 and it makes a www address clickable without the http:// .
I'm sure it all varies with other browsers.

I'll be glad to type in the http://, Bill, if it will make
it easier for claybuds to participate in all aspects
of the List. However, I must
be misunderstanding something. I've had no
trouble clicking on the www without the http:// .....
in order to get into a live and active link.
I am not the most computer literate on Clayart .....
a major understatement .... am I mistaken about
being able to click on the www form in order to=20
complete
a link?
Thank you.
Best regards.

Nope, it doesn't. I'm using Eudora (version 5.1) and.it definitely does
NOT require the http://
Perhaps you are using an older version which did need it. Are you aware
that Eudora is now available at no charge? You can download v5.1 from
Eudora's web site. The only catch is that the free version includes an
advertisement (though a very tiny one!) in the lower left corner.

Couple other folks asked about this - the need for the "http://" as
part of a web address. If you are reading Clayart via a later version

complete the address for you.
I get Clayart via my email program, Eudora, and this program requires
the complete web address to recognize it as a "live" link. I think
Outlook Express may complete the address for you.
Hope this clears it all up,
Bill
