I have not seen it mentioned on our list, but the Museum of Contemporary =
Arts and Design, NYC
just closed a show called From the Kilns of Denmark: Cotemporary Danish =
Ceramics". This is a show representing 30 living Danish artists and 97 =
works. The artists range from 20 to over 80 years old and are all =
active today. Several of them are closely connected with Denmark's =
Ceramic Museum Guldagerg=E5rd, Museum of International Ceramic art, =
Denmark. I have been very lucky to have the opportunity to attend =
workshops with 4 of the artists represented and I would greatly =
recommend this show. The work is strong and diversified, exciting and =
on the cutting edge. There is a website for the Museum of =
Contemporary Arts and Designs at=20
www.americancraftmuseum.org where I believe they have the venues for =
this show. I feel fortunate to have
Guldagerg=E5rd in my "backyard" where I have met ceramists from all over =
the world and have been inspired and energized.
