Dear June: Of course you are right. I have over simplified the reason for
it's demise. Just showing my disdain for tightwads.
How is then??? The better one gets, the harder it is to have a market. This
mag needed to depend on subscriptions as well as advertising because it did
not contain articles destined for a mass audience. It was targeted to a
very serious pottery client.
Ruth Butler and Renee Fairchild of CM will probably read this. They are
very good friends of both Barb Tipton former editor of Contact and John
Chalke tag along eccentric.
Much of the time at their monthly staff meeting probably is taken up with
what they'd like to do and what they have to do.
Sounds like my life too.
