successful skutt firing

to all who helped with my overfiring dilemma. thanks for all the help from all the different angles. i decided to fire six glazed pieces. and fired 50 degrees less to ^5. and they all came out great. no running glaze and the clay color looks nearly the same to ^6. so off to the store they go. the woman who i work for now as a ceramic teacher who used to work as an apprentice to voulkos for a couple summer suggested firing to 50 degrees less. it seemed to do the trick.
my first kiln was a 30 yr old L&L manual electric. now it seems easy again with the skutt just by pressing the buttons. best of firings to each of you!
