Dear Richard, et all...

What a nice question...

What fun...

What a happy, wiggley Can...of 'worms'...

As...

The (traditionally known as 'Fine') 'Art', as say, was
looted in the 'thirties and early 'fourties by the S.S. arm
especially, of the Third Reich?
And variously horded, here and there, in 'Caves' and what,
to turn up even now ( ahem, ) in the Vatican, in Swiss
'Banks', in the attics and basements of some South American
'churches', the 'country' estates of some 'american' Banking
families, and the odd 'alpine' Wine Cellar?

That Art?

Or...?

Holding 'civilization' together was it?

Ohhhh..I need a Lexicon..!

Or a Dictionary...

'Art' as...?

'civilization' as...?

As maybe I should benifit from a definition of the terms
'Art' and of 'civilization' here, to say of their relations,
or the purportation, speculative or asserting, of some
cohesive effect of the former on the latter.

I need these terms narrowed down some...lest the 'Rorschach'
ink blot be seen, as the 'Butterfly' it is decidedly not.

Such a 'Butterfly' may be 'Art' too...for all I know...and
it don't fly away, either, like the 'real' one may be
understood to do...and which, for that, the blot may be
prefer'd...for it's stayin' put.

Caves and Cellars and 'Summer-Cottage 'Bungalo' drawing room
and City State sanctorum of 'em...still tucked away...

They stay'd put...pretty well.
