aberystwyth here i come...

Jenny Lewis on fri 10 jan 03

Hi all

If you are thinking of going to Aber in July - I have now received my
ticket and accommodation details. I'm in in Rosser Halls, so if you are
booking, maybe adding a little note to the form will get us all into a
Clayart area, which would be nice as we could get together for some
serious chatting and gossiping.

If not, well I seem to recall the accom halls are not very far from one
another and no doubt mobile phone contacts will help.

Summer in Wales seems a lo-o-o-ong way away from the freezing and
slippery streets of London right now!

Hi Jenny and all,

Avril and I have our tickets too - Russel as well I think, and Jenaet said
she was coming. Avril and I have yet to book our accomodation - must do
monday! So I will remember where you are Jenny and ask to be near you - I
must stasrt making the shell pins for Clayarters. Is anyone else out there
coming?

Wales is freezing too just at the moment. We've been lucky for weather at
Aber for the last 2 times anyway - late nights sitting around kilns - mad
exploding kiln in one case - great fun.

I've got my ticket as well. My application for accommodation is in and
being processed (boy those Welsh are charming!)

I think Jacqui and Pat Southwood will also be there. Janet has,
unfortunately had to back out.

Looking forward to it.

As usual the crew from Bath Potters Supplies (which includes me) will be
running our stall at Aber, and could be a message etc. point for any
Clayarters attending if that would be useful.

Russel,

I have also made my booking and as I have seen that you are a regular
contributor to Clayart it would nice if we could meet at Aberystwyth.

What is the weblink to get details of Aberystwyth and buy tickets?
Feeling really up to coming there this year, but not as an exhibitor, but to
meet so many wonderful Clayart friends.
Aberystwyth was where I met my dear wife, so it has very special
significance for us.

Dear Martin - and anyone else with an interest (which is why I'm not
replying privately),

International Ceramics Festival website is
www.internationalceramicsfestival.co.uk or better still you can phone (with
a credit or debit card) 01970 623232 and book over the phone. I saw Steve
Mattison (chairman of the festival committee) before Christmas and he told
me there was a huge demand this year and they expect to sell out early - so
if you are going to book it may be an idea to book soon.

See you there!
