we had a wonderful stay with feriz on our trip
south last week. we met him at his home, and
took a trip to st. augustine where feriz has helped
to repair the first landing spot and christian alter
in the new world. he has dedicated the st. augustine
shrine to alice. he as worked and paid to rebuild the alter and
built a wonderful fountain and flower display area
in the central turn-around. it was alice's favorite place
to go and find peace and quiet. it is truly a wonderful
area. it was a joy to share a few days with feriz.
the itc products are in full swing. in fact, any of you that
doubt the quality of the product will find that nasa is now
using itc in the space shuttle, both the rockets and the
launch pad. it always amazes me that folks scoff and
doubt the quality of this product. they complain about
a fifty dollar addition that will save them 30 percent in fuel
costs. oh, well.....hard to change most people. that is why feriz
has stopped advertising in pottery magazines.

This is a post that I sent to mel off list. He replied that I should post it
to Clayart. So, here it is.

mel,
Not all are unbelievers. I'm presenting a 2-part workshop this Thurs and next
month on kiln maintenance, firing, glazes, clay handbuilding techniques for
our teachers. I'm a middle school teacher for Duval County. That's
Jacksonville, FL. Amazing that Feriz's French distributor alone will be
selling 2-3000 gallons of ITC 100 this year alone. I plan to introduce our
art teachers to his products this week at our inservice. They need to be
coating their kiln brick, furniture and shelves with it. Better ingredients
support better products and improve kiln longevity.
