I'm wanting to met other potters in our area. We live in the suwanee area a
bit north of downtown Atlanta. About 7 months ago I quit my job in the
social services and returned to making pots full time! I would be interested
in talking to other potters/artist on marketing strategies. How to get
people to know that we are even making pots and how to get to the studio.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. In my past life I mostly concentrated
on high end galleries as I was not focusing on functional ware, but now that
my focus is 90% functional work I need to rethink strategies to get people
to our work/studio. Not sure what is the best least expensive bang for the
buck advertising. Thanks to all, Mark Knott

Hi, Mark:

There is a guild of Georgia potters trying to organize itself. There was to be an
organizational meeting last week, but it was postponed due to the cold and snow.

There is also a listserv group for Georgia potters. It would be a good way to meet
other local clay folk and find out more about the guild as well as other goings on
in Georgia. Subscribe to GaClay listserv at .

Cheers,
-Bill
