dental floss threader for feathering slips

Thank God I did not write about adapting blushmaking bathroom items to
pottery use.

If one has a permanent bridge it is impossible to floss without threading
the floss through the space near the gum. A permanent bridge is connected at
the bottom (the chewing surface.) The drugstore sells (check dental care
section) flat little boxes filled with 3" loops of stiff nylon. Imagine a Q
or a 9 idea. Think a darning needle made of a stiff nylon. You thread the
dental floss through the loop, insert the stiff part through the gap and
pull the dental floss through.

These threaders are great for feathering....You can provide lots of students
with "feathers" for very little $.

Next week: How to brush properly.

And good dental hygiene to all...

It's a blue plastic "needle" It's very fine plastic, and you thread
the floss through the "eye". Then you use the "needle", which is
flexible, to thread the floss underneath bridgework or around braces.

What in the world is a dental floss threader? (I floss every day, I swear.)
