Dear Lisa,
The transition of form from clay model to cast bronze is an interesting =
proposition (I presume that since the piece came back form the founder =
it is bronze or some form of metal alloy.)
Now I have not had the privilege you are experiencing but I believe that =
getting the casting back signals the start of the next stage of the =
creative process.
You have to complete the work. Your task is to work the surfaces and =
then apply the patina. In other words, you have to eliminate the =
presence of the artisans from the material to make it yours again. I =
think it is a question of "Ownership". The intervention of the second =
party has broken your connections with the work. You need to reconnect.
Congratulations on your achievement so far.
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis. Redhill, South Australia
