My wife and I make large and somewhat expensive pots.We have shipped by truck
for years and now the trucking company says that they will not insure art
work for more than $500. Federal Express has the same limit and shipping UPS
is not an option with our size.Appreciate any help you can give since I hate
to ship without adequate insurance.

Maybe this can be of help as you set the parameters and you will receive
competitive quotes on shipping. http://freightquote.com/ This is a great
option when confronting tool purchasing as I saved over $800 on a tool
purchase shipment as I got competitive bidding/pricing versus when I directly
contacting several shipping company. Good luck!

Hi:

At the gallery, we use Craters and Freighters for all the big expensive
stuff. You can look them up on the web at
www.cratersandfreighters.com They aren't cheap but neither are your
pots. They will insure high ticket stuff. They have to do the packing though.

When I was at the Bray several large shipments were plastic wrapped
directly onto pallets and shipped. It is a fairly safe way for large
shipments.
Best wishes,
Marcia
