Today- 01/02/03- was a sad day in mankind's endeavour to learn more about
Space and other endeavours which have benefited from our exploration of the
heavens.
I would like to express my condolences to my fellow American and Israeli
ClayArt members and especially to the families of those special individuals
we call astronauts. These 7 individuals were unswerving in their commitment
to betterment of humankind and our world. Their families were rock solid in
their support of the dreams "their" astronauts were committed to. Even our
own endeavours as clay artists have indirectly benefited from these space
explorers courage to test the limits of ceramic materials we take for
granted eg.; Fiberfax,Kaowool which have been used in past space travel
endeavours.
Sincerely, Donald Burroughs
