Dear Bruce,
You are not the only person to propose that solution. I wonder how many =
people have ever used Draw Rings, other than we brave souls who invested =
time and effort into a Salt Glaze firing. Bet the Soda Glaze mob still =
use them.
If the sample on a draw ring which cools so rapidly that =
crystallisation is suppressed so that there is only transparent glass =
on the sample, then all of the ingredients are in solution.
I think this has merit and may be a way forward.
