glaze washes/liquid detergent

For one of my glaze workshops I made test tiles with common householkd
products as glaze. Dishwasher detergent turned out to bea very nice at
c.6.I of course tried Tums, baking soda washing soda, kaopectate....HOWEVER
the trouble with dishwashing detergent is the chlorine in it....fumes etc.
