venerable mended teabowls

Every once and a while one comes up on Ebay with good pictures. I think
there is one on right now, a higher priced one. Try searching "Chawan" or
"Tea Bowl."
Or you could run a search on Google or Yahoo for "Mended Tea Bowl," "Gold
Tea Bowl," "Gold Filled Tea Bowl."
If I happen to come across any I will be sure and let you know.

Subject: venerable mended teabowls

Greetings,

Could anyone suggest a website showing a photo of a Japanese
teabowl that has a chip in the rim mended in the traditional fashion
with gold?

This is for a friend whose work is bereavement counseling. She would
like this image as a starting point for conversation about restoring
continued life after the experience of a loss. The veneration accorded
a mended valued teabowl is significant here too.

Thank you,
