For a friend's upcoming trip to IRELAND - Can anyone
suggest places &/or people to visit of special
interest to a clay person? TIA

I'm hardly an expert, but during our trip to Ireland several years
ago, one of the highlights to me was the Kilkenny Design center near
(duh) Kilkenny Castle....I thought the potters there were really
special...I bought far more than I had budgeted for!!!

Check the Crafts Potters Society of Ireland, at
http://ceramicsireland.org/

As a general note, whenever you are travelling, look
up local guilds to get connected with the local pottery
scene.

We maintain a pretty comprehensive list of guilds
on our website. See http://www.ovcag.org/guilds/
