I have looked in vain for a 'dry glaze' recipe - preferably sandy or =

And what is a dry glaze? An extremely non-shiny one? One that one can file
one's fingernails on? and what temperature would you like this at?
What do you propose to use this for? Be a darling, and clue us in!
