To the best of my knowledge silicon carbonate is used for grinding and
polishing. Many/most of your standard sharpening stones are made of it.
FFF means terribly terribly fine. I do not know to whom you want to explain
it, but if you are looking for it, a heavy duty hardware store, one of those
places where all the men smell of metal and machine oil, and they have
calendars of naked women on motorcycles in the loo will sell the stuff.
