There are a lot of simple 50/50 part mixtures that will yield very
interesting crawling surfaces..........you may however have to try
out a few tests to find out and really see for your self what can
happen with a free and abandoned to using glaze materials. My
favourite one is to use 50 parts tin oxide in any stoneware
glaze......the extent to which you can use this will of course depend
on the state of your bank balance

read and see more in "Crackle glazes" and "gumboot glazing" in the
clayglazexplore link on the web site http://www.gartside.info
........should help to feed your interest in crawling and cracked
surfaces.!

I use a crawling glaze in my work. You can basically add large
amounts (30% or more) to any glaze to get the crawling effect you are
looking for. Also, different applications of the glaze give
different effects.

You can start with Ball Crawl, which is 50% neph sy and 50% mag carb.
