I just finished a two day class with Ron this past weekend at Callanwolde
Art Center here in Atlanta. It was brought home to me once again why we
wanted him for this two-week workshop--it was great fun and a wonderful
learning experience! He is a uniquely talented potter and a genuinely fine
(and fun) person. Both wheel throwers and hand builders are welcome.
The workshop is at La Meridiana Pottery owned by Pietro Maddalena. It is a
fully equipped facility housed in a beautiful 14th century farmhouse in the
lovely Tuscan countryside. Lunches are gourmet affairs and a day trip to
neighboring towns is included. The pottery is near Certaldo, which is
equidistant from Pisa, Siena, and Florence. Come have fun and be challenged
creatively!
