folks,=20

what are the uses of powdered ifb? why the concern for calcium? would
calcium contamination of whole bricks be a problem? if the original =
bricks
were not contaminated, how would their powder be contaminated?

thanks, brian

Hi Arnold,

What a great idea.

Just to make sure - check it for any calcium - vinegar or acid will make
it
fizz.

Some bricks are made with fire clay - occasionally fire clay has calcium in it.

I don't think it is much of a concern but it occured to me - if there is
some present and it is used as grog in a body - you would then get lime
pops in the ware.

Not hard to test for a handful in a cup of vinegar will show it up right away.
