Several other pronunciations bother me, in addition to nuclear. Jewlery instead of jewelry. Realator instead of realtor. I think that someday those may become the rule because of the frequency of use they become accepted.
Not being picky but observing. I also hear - 'ruTEEL' and 'ruTILE' from different people.
