Don't know if I woke up at 4:45 this morning because I started coughing
or because I had a thought about the recent nomenclature thread.
Youse guys need to get your idears straight so I can get some sleep!-) ...
yawn

The thread has inspired a renaming of the clay I use frequently.
So my official name for porcelain that fires to ^6 is "Imposter Porcelain"
or "Poser Porcelain".

Of course you realize for the sake of consistency we also have to rename
numerous other things that through the centuries have morphed into something
"Impure".

For instance look at all the dialects and nuances in the English language.
For purity and continuity let's take this further....... We need to get this
thing straight! Every dialect needs to be categorized.
Take the USA for instance........

Aminglish = generic American
Slolish = generic Southern states
YOglish = PA, New Jersey, New York
Tharlish = Northeastern states
Sacklish = Mid-Western states.... though could be Poplish
Texlish = Texas
Arklish = Arkansas
Reckglish = Red-neck speak
Cowlish = wherever cowboys roam
Valish = Valley girl speak
Lielish = Politician speak
Raplish = Rapper speak
Killish = HMO speak

So you see where I am going with this we have a lot of renaming work to do
and I'm NOT going to do it all alone! We'll get this straight yet!

I'll give it a start though:

Faku = American Raku
Poser Porcelain = any porcelain fired under ^10

Study this stuff because there will be a test!

Well, I think I'll go empty some PP from my kiln.

Gayle Bair - proud to be a "Poser Porcelain" user but if anyone wants to
give me a gas/wood/salt/soda kiln I will be happy to use the real stuff to
^10.
