To those packing up, and getting ready for the NCECA in San Diego--
I wish I could join you (it's a three-hour drive for me, from the desert).
But after seeing that $20 no longer fills the tank of a Ford Escort, I
decided to stay home. My friends in San Diego say gas prices are approaching
$2.25/gallon for "el cheapo" unleaded, in that city. So beware, if you are
driving in, or plan to rent a large vehicle.
Nontheless, I wish everyone a great time this week, in San Diego. I look
forward to seeing the email reports one can expect from our venerable
correspondents.
