Would anyone using propane please send to the list what price per
unit[include your use unit] that you are currently paying[last fill since
2003 began] and the state which you are buying the propane in, state if you
have higher than average volume use that might be giving you preferential
rate if so
do it like this-
state[north or south if a huge state like CA]
volume of container[ in pounds or gallons]
price charged perpound or gallon
state[country in the case of non USA Clayarters] or other applicable sales
tax added per unit
avarage volume usage [in estimated per year figure]
I think if we monitor what all our counterparts pay it will keep us informed
of trends in this comodity.Thank you.
I am not presently using propane but will expect to get hooked back up soon
and will tell my figures when that happens.

I am in the Mountains of NC ( north carolina) or the western end of NC
.

Last fill up was 3/5/03 I have a 500 gallon tank for the studio and
Steve "the gas guy" from Blossman charged me $1.34point9 per gallon... he
said that most regular users were charged $1.50 gallon so I suppose that
means I got preferencial treatment for the first time My gut tells me
its gonna go way up in price seeing that the price of gasoline is suppose to
hit $2.00 gal. before too long.. I think its at $1.58.9 at Sam's Club if
your a member and $1.61.9 if you are not... I fire about 12-13 times a
yr and use ??? Depends seeing I am breaking in a new kiln but I think I
have it back down to 50-60- gallons per fire. 45 Cubic kiln ps we also
heat the house with propane and have a gas stove/oven and this winter use
about 22 gallons a week and was still cold !! ok ok gimme some cheese
with that whine... :o) Cat Jarosz

In the coldest-winter-for-a-long-time Maine (specifically Arrowsic,
mid-coast area, where it's actually a lot warmer than in northern
interior parts of the state), we recently paid $1.549/gal for 290 gal
filling of a 1000 gal tank . Used mainly for heating at a rate of appx.
250 gal/mo for Jan.-Feb - OUCH!

Misty,

I was quoted $1.75.9/gallon, to fill my 150 gallon household tank last week,
here in S. California. That was an increase from December's $1.15/gallon!

Yucca Valley, CA. Home of the last $1.95/gallon unleaded gasoline in CA,
according to the AAA. Most expensive unleaded gas in the state: San
Francisco, which sees gas approaching $2.75/gallon!
