Lynne Berman on thu 13 mar 03
Just came back from a month on Longboat Key. The studio at Manatee Community
College in Bradenton is terrific if crowded, salt kiln, two gas kilns, raku,
etc. and is run by a terrific guy named Ted Camp. Lots of hanger-ons who are
very competent. And, there is good coffee and baguettes in Sarasota which is
where I'd live if we returned. Also, there's an extraordinary Korean potter,
Kie Woon Huh, who takes students at his studio in Sarasota, has a gas kiln,
very peaceful, nice place.
Next February we will check out Miami if I can find a place to work.
