i have been trying my damndest to keep
politics off the list for the last week.

wendy is more than knowledgeable about what is
going on in the china import business.
she is a champion of hand made things...made here.

we are getting hit hard with clay projects...that
are not always labeled with integrity from china.

we, as potters are going to start to feel that soon.
she on a campaign to put that right.

you may want to inform yourself. this is going to hurt
us all.

and please, i am not going to post anti u.s. government
posts. you can scream all you want.
find a new venue.

Dear Mel -
I agree that we should try to avoid political discussion on Clayart, but
depending on how this war goes, it may not be possible. If this thing gets
ugly (or uglier, depending on how you look at it now) and if it is at the
forefront of everyone's mind, then it BELONGS on Clayart. And regarding
anti-US government posts, you are not qualified to determine what is or what
is not anti-government, nor should you be concerned unless you are
determined to express your own personal opinions. I'm pretty sure that's
not the case.

On the other hand, if someone says something fairly blatant, as I did in a
post you did not post today, then perhaps such discretion is appropriate. I
do not fault you for that. But you might just HAVE to let Clayart talk
about the war. To do otherwise would be cruel and counterproductive. We'll
have to wait and see.

And your final sentence is absurd. You're the moderator. If someone sends
you an angry profane message, why don't you show how much better you are and
just use the delete button.
Otherwise, best wishes -
- Vince
