i am sure you are all aware of the `african scam`.
i get about 10 a day.
even now we are getting about 15 spams a day
on the clayart channel.
my email address is almost 7 years old. i get it all.
use mail washer or other spy systems....at least
it does not get to your computer.
it takes more time, but it beats changing things.
i think the last thing clayarters want right now
is for me to change address`.

Dear Clayart Moderator
As a White African I object to your description of the email scam as an
"African scam". Please understand that Africa is an enormous continent,
comprised of more countries than the Americas are. It originated in Nigeria,
which is closer to Europe as the email flies, than it is from South Africa
where I sit.
African email-users also suffer from this scam, so to be lumped with the
perpetrators of this nonsense is adding insult to injury.
Best regards
Gerald from Pretoria, where thunderstorms are pounding the Highveld

The reason you get so many scam emails from Nigeria is because they work.
Unbelievable!
To the tune of 365 million a year!
"This particular scam targets middle class, middle age, business and
professional men who would never be as easily deceived by a lottery scam.
Estimates put the losses from these "Nigerian Advance Fee" operations at
over $1 million "every single day" in the U.S. alone. The multi-stage fraud
starts when you receive a fax, e-mail or letter such as these examples: "
