Folks, I have said this before, and I'll continue to say it every time I see
something like the above. <> THIS IS A VERY
PUBLIC, INTERNATIONAL LIST, and it's no longer private because Yahoo
somehow got hold of it and now folks you don't know and will NEVER hear of
can read the list anytime they feel like it. Not only that, but your post
goes in the archives forever and ever amen.

When you post your home address here, anybody who wants to can see it. They
can then cut and jump on over to mapquest to find directions to your front
door. Like it or not, that's a safety issue. PLEASE don't post your
personal information to the list. It just ain't a good thing to do.........

I'd like to add, as I have learned the hard way, that any personal
info is free for the looking. When I went to court for my support hearing,
Ex's Atty. had copies of all of everyone's posts regarding a potter's income.
As a matter of fact, I believe he's a regular subscriber now, monitoring
every word I post...Everyone say "Hi Dave".

This is true. I have been surprised to search some issue on YAHOO (most
recently, locations of public studios in areas I might consider moving to) --
and GOOGLE brings up messages posted to this list.

Even if the list found some way to prevent that for the average users, I
doubt there's any way to completely keep people out.

Just think -- this year you list your address; next year you list that you're
going to NCECA. Someone knows no one will be at home.

ROTFL! There may be a few rich potters but I certainly don't know any. In
fact I don't know any who don't have supplemental income of some kind. I know
people who have retired and devoted their time, full time to pottery, but
they also have a retirement or pension income and wouldn't be able to survive
just on their pottery.

It's such a shame. Everyone I'm thinking of is so talented. So ... Dave ...
if you're reading this... pottery is not the goose that laid the golden egg!

Hiiiii Dave,

While you're monitoring Clayart why don't you do some constructive research!
Find out how many rich potters there are in the world and report back to us!
