Thanks, Ilene for the favorable comments on your experience at the
Malcolm Davis workshop preceding the NCECA conference and the post
conference party.

It is my intention to provide the best experience possible for the
presenter and attendees at every event here at Nottingham. With a small
volunteer crew, and no paid staff, we consistently have had great
workshops and events here. Part of that is working constantly to build a
great facility, even more so is our commitment to making the workshop /
event go as well as we possibly can. That is our intention and
commitment whenever we hold a workshop or event here. Make it go right,
do whatever it takes. That is our job and we take the job very seriously
to heart for folks who have paid their $$, and traveled here.
Much of this comes from my attending workshops at dozens of places both
large and small. I am constantly looking at what was done well, and what
could be improved for the presenter and for the folks attending.

So far I think we are batting close to 1000. As close to perfect as we
can. That is our goal.

We have had workshops with Mel San and Dannon Rhudy, Peter King and
Xinia Marin, Paul Lewing, David Cuzick, Richard and Carol Selfridge,
Louis Katz, Malcolm Davis, Paul Soldner and Kathy Koop, and many
others. In every case the presenter(s) have left feeling they were
served and pampered. The attendees all had a great leaning experience
and had lots of fun. That is what folks come for, and that is what we
strive to give.

We all had an amazing experience with NCECA coming to San Diego this
year. With a pre conference workshop and a post conference party; it
was even more fantastic for us here at Nottingham Arts.
So many new friends like Craig Donalson, Steven Mills, Millie
Carpenter, Ilene Mahler, Gail Dagpony, Lynn Zimmer, so and many more.
What a feast of new clay friends. Of course; we could not have made
it happen without the stalwart help of lab techs Jesse Martin, James
Coquia, Mike Giddings, or the continuing support of folks like Donald
Goldsobel and John Kniefl, and the admin. help from Jean Lehman, and not
the least the fantastic workshop given by Malcolm Davis. What an
incredibly fantastic person he is.

Clay rocks ! Come to the Nottingham Arts center and have a
wonderful experience.
Attend workshops at Anderson Ranch, Laloba, Hawstack, Pennland, or
wherever. You will have a wonderful time for sure.

Well, thanks Mr. Goldsobel for the kind words about Nottingham. You
have been here many times and have been a staunch supporter of our
place.

For those who were unable to make the post NCECA party at Nottingham; we
will be having another party and giant pit fire on the fourth of July.
We will have the barbeques going, music, campfire circles, beer and
wine, a cone ten charcoal firing, the giant pit fire, and lots of fun.

Terry's comments about the Nottingham experience is right on the money.
There is no exaggeration, no puffing. If anyone has the opportunity to
attend a workshop at Nottingham, they must jump at the opportunity. San
Marcos is a great town, weather always fine, lots of good and reasonable
restaurants, good lodging near by.

Amen, Terry S.
