Niki de St. Phalle gave a wonderful , yet unopened gift to Southern
California in 2000, called "Queen Califia's Magic Circle".
This large scale sculpture garden, consisting of cast forms with
mosaic, is being built in Escondido, north of San Diego. Designed by
St. Phalle , it was given by her to the city of Escondido , ( they are
financing installation.)
