wall sconces/slumping glass

updated thu 27 mar 03

Today is a play day in my studio and I've invited a friend over to make
wall sconces .
I went to a Kathy Triplett demo on sconces a few years ago and I'm not
sure if I remember all the firing data for slumping the glass.

Does anyone have a temp/firing schedule for the glass slumping part.

For the past several weeks, employees at Paragon have been slumping
glass bottles in an 8-sided ceramic kiln. You will find that the
slumping temperature depends on the type of glass you are firing.

My suggestion is to look at the glass through a peephole and turn the
kiln off manually the first time you fire glass. You can tell when the
glass is ready by looking at it. (Firing safety glasses are
recommended.)

Brenda,

I think the glass slumping tutorials at www.warmglass.com may help you.
