I was wery intrigued by a post that I found while googling for environmental hazards from salt firing. It was quite short post from Steve Mills in Bath UK about the method of said french potter, which he claimed was also the standard for french rural pottery.

I would very much like to know more about this method, since it appears to give of much less fumes over all (I don't like salt snowing down on the lawn either ;-). Is there anything I can read about this method, or can anyone who uses it explain it briefly. I'm sure there's more to it than putting small pots of salt in your ordinary kiln. Please?

Lissy
