Kay Howard & Phil Chaban on wed 2 apr 03
Opened my newly upgraded Evenheat kiln this morning after the first =
glaze fire with the Rampmaster II which allows me to become part of the =
slow cooled bunch. (ie-I can ramp down and do all sorts of neat things =
I haven't figured out yet) Reached cone six top to bottom, a little =
hotter in the middle. Spearmint looked really good and matte and =
greener over the white stoneware. Waterfall did not fall off the =
vertical vase, and weathered bronze had only enough black to be =
interesting. Yippee! Phil's new tiles--first glaze fire on them--are =
great--some a little wavy, but we learn. All in all a very satisfying =
opening and doing much to dispel the inertia caused by world events.
