Hi, Folks,
Does anyone in the Colorado Front Range area have an Olymic Torchbearer
kiln? I just got one and found I can't seem to get a decent blue flame
with it. The manual is less than helpful (I can say as someone who used
to write manuals). I'm using propane for fuel. The kiln fires up to
about 1000 C and won't go any higher no matter what I do. Jon Singer
mentioned it may have something to do with the altitude and insufficient
oxygen. The burners are set at an inch below the kiln bottom. Any
advice would be greatly appreciated, no matter where you live. HELP!

You may need to adjust the orifice size for the altitude that you are firing
at. I need to know more specifics about your kiln to completely answer your
questions.( kiln size, number of burners, shelf size, etc) Please give me a
call at (800)241-4400 and I will help you adjust the kiln to get to cone 10.
