Someone contacted me after seeing my teapots online.
They are currently collecting teapots but only want unusual & unique ones.
If you are interested let me know. If you have some online I'll forward the
site to them and they can contact you.

Hi Gail
Ahem. Are they looking for teapots that actually and indubitably -
Lord bless my soul! - make AND pour tea, and aim to do so very well
even as they give pleasure in use? Functional teapots, in other words.
Or does "unusual and unique" mean that what they really want are
fashionable artifacts that mimic teapots, and certainly won't go so
far as to ever be _used_, save perhaps for crafty ego inflation,
resume enhancement, or comic and dramatic effect? The play, 'Waiting
for Godot'.... I see possibilities there for a fake teapot. Charlie
Chaplin would surely have liked them too. Most all studio pottery
exhibition "teapots" seem to fall into this category.
I say we make these pretzel-brained curators and critics pour piping
hot brew from each and every "teapot" in their shows. Butt naked. No
thongs allowed. That'll teach them TEA.
Harrumph!
Ned, growly after he found an exceptional store in Berkeley,
California, featuring mostly books and meditation related items that
had for sale amongst its gems a 'teapot', presented as functional ...
with the spout ending halfway up.
Alas, immortal Dante, that it is too late to add another chapter to
your Inferno describing the fate in store for such feckless potters!

Sorry Ned... I just am not sure how to reply to your
posting. Regardless of the design my teapots are functional.
I cannot speak for others. Perhaps the teapots you disparagingly
referred to should be called "sculptural teapots".
Come to think of it that may be a very good idea as then the prices
could be quadrupled or more!!!!

In recent 'teapot' discussion here, friend revealed that an acquaintance had moved from "functional" to "sculptural" or "decorative" teapots, in her work, and the prices she got at least tripled.
