No... from the description on the Lark website:

Alternative Firing Methods & Kilns (working title), by James C. Watkins
and Paul Andrew Wandless, will demonstrate various ceramic firing
techniques in low-cost kilns you can make yourself.
...ceramic work made using raku, low-fired saggar, low-salt, and fuming
techniques, and pit, barrel, and sawdust firing. Work made using terra
sigillata and multi-firing practices, using any combination or variation
of the above-mentioned techniques, are also welcomed.

My good friend James Watkins asked me to pass on this information to
CLAYART.

A call for entries is being extended to you for an upcoming book entitled
Alternative Firing Methods & Kilns (working title) by James C. Watkins and
Paul Andrew Wandless. Work using raku, low-fired saggar, low-salt, and
fuming techniques, and pit, barrel, and sawdust firing are needed. Work made
using terra sigillata and multi-firing practices, using any combination or
variation of the above-mentioned techniques, are also welcomed.

Attached/included is the entry form and guidelines required for the
submission of artwork. Please send slides and form directly to Lark Books,
using the address on the bottom of the entry form, by May 15th, 2003. You
may also go to http://www.larkbooks.com to download the forms and read the
guidelines. On the Lark Books home page, click on "Work With Lark" and then

copy of the book.
Please feel free to pass the forms and information along to friends and
