amen david! i agree.. it seems that if i go down to the studio i never
and i mean never stay just a few minutes to see how things are drying.
even if i dont make anything or finish something i still find things to
do. it might be why didnt i put this up or put that up and start cleaning
my studio which it always need. i try and try to stay on schedule but
never seem to do it. something always needs to be taken care of. i have
good intentions to have things done in a timely matter but it never
happens. i try to start early but something always gets in the way. like
pots not drying.. not enough glaze made.. didnt start packing soon
enough ... didnt do my pricing... lol i always have to do this at shows
guess i dont want to as i hate the pricing end. i wish i could just make my
pots and not do the selling part. i guess thats why i have a husband so he
can do that part for me.

yes family members get drawn into your work one way or another.. hauling,
selling, packing, driving, meetings, always something for them to do. as
time goes by it seems that they do almost as much as we do. i dont know
what i would do without support.
yes i have forgotten a few things that i was suppose to do like fixing
dinner.. i dont know how many nights he has gone to bed with a bowl of
popcorn for dinner because i got caught up into my work and worked halfway
through the next morning. but as time has gone on he has gotten used to me
saying i'll be up in alittle while and not showing up. many a time he
has given up on me and gone to bed.. i have learned that if i have
somewhere i have to go i wont even go down to the studio at all as i know i
will get caught up in it.. thats the life of a potter and a potters spouse.
