Krause Publications has just released the book "The Art of Crystalline
Glazing: Basic Techniques". It was written by my son, Jon Price, and me.
It is a basic, "how-to-do-it" book with 40 high- and 15 low-fire recipes,
firing schedules, and all the details that you need in order to create these
exciting glazes. It includes 22 Exercises that step you thru the entire
process. It is 160 pages, full color, and shows many examples of crystalline
glazes.

There is also a companion videotape.

They are described on Jon's website: www.JonPriceCeramics.com. If you have
any questions about the book or video, you can contact him at
Jon@JonPriceCeramics.com.

Ellie,
Glad you are enjoying it. We have spent a lot of time researching
crystalline glazes and trying lots of things. I hope you will find time to
also read some of the references we give. There is lots of good stuff
there, also.

LeRoy

LeRoy,
I just bought this book. I think it is great. It is loaded with very
valuable information and beautiful examples. I have just tried one of the
glazes in my latest firing and I can't wait to see how things turned out. I
have gotten some of the results you talk about but had no idea why only that
I liked the results. This gives me a whole new avenue of testing to pursue.
Thanks
Ellie Blair
