An interesting proposition. I think Kingery and Vandiver will be a good =
place to start. Their book about the Science of Ancient Techniques is =
the starting place. Otherwise go to Parmelee and Harmen on Glazes and =
Singer and Singer for good references to the past.
Thermodynamics and Phase Equilibria! I doubt it. Who would have the =
expertise to do the bench work or the calculations? Don't think anyone =
has stretched their imagination that far. By the way, which sort of =
lustre do you mean?
