Ok, that's really up 'theya'. Bring some warm cloths and rain gear.
Been a cold spring so far.

If you have the time you should visit Haystack Mountain School of Crafts
(http://www.haystack-mtn.org/about.html). Bar Harbor is a short drive
and a great little town for shopping and restaurants. You might be able
to catch a sailing cruise on Frenchmen's Bay (may be too early in the
season, don't know). Arcadia National Park is there on Mount Desert, a
great car/hiking tour if you have at least a day. Eat a lobster ... any
lobster! Barbara Walch Pottery is about 20-25 mi west of Ellsworth
(www.BarbaraWalchPottery.com ). If you do decide to visit Haystack, in
that same general area (Deer Isle, Blue Hill) there are several
excellent potteries and galleries, check out this web site
(www.penobscotbay.com/pgs/epba3.html).

Have fun.

Bob

P.S. I'd invite you to our abode, but we're 3 hrs south in the mid-coast
region.

The Blue Hill Peninsula and Deer Isle are worth a visit. Scott Goldberg has a
studio east of the town of Blue Hill, the setting is as worthwhile as the
pottery, both of which are excellent. On the road from Blue Hill south to
Deer Isle, there is a shop on the East side of the road, very well done and
well priced work. Sorry, but I cannot remember the name of the artist. Bill
Mohr on Deer Isle, and the Haystack School is worth seeing. The setting is
unbelievable. There is a lobster pound on the road to Haystack.

The trip down the Deer Isle peninsula will yield a wealth of potters and galleries for you to visit. My favorite is Mark Bell, about 1.5 miles south of Blue Hill on Rte 15 (I think that's the route number). Simple white sign on the road -- Mark Bell Porcelain -- leads up to some very beautiful work, and a darned nice person as well.

Blue Heron gallery in Deer Isle is affiliated somewhat with Haystack school and it's a wonderful gallery. There are also several other potters and artisans along the way.

DON'T MISS Acadia National Park! My favorite place in the world -- good for the soul, heart and mind. In Bar Harbor there's an Island Artisans shop with some very beautiful handmade work, including pottery, basketry, weaving, jewelry.

In Ellsworth, stop by the Riverside Cafe for breakfast or lunch -- pleasant and "down home."

Make a trip onto Mt. Desert Island; go to Somesville and visit the Port in a Storm bookstore -- great bookstore in a beautiful setting. There also is an excellent bookstore in Blue Hill.

Ellsworth has some neat little shops on the old main drag, and then there is the "strip," which includes, of course, and LL Bean outlet store which is worth a trip, and Reny's, an old Maine department-type store with ever-changing stock, overstocks, and terrific prices.
