> Our studio, Cape Fear Studios is hosting an all day workshop on the Teapot and Other Pouring Vessels by Canadian Potter John Elder from Edmonton,Alberta. John has been working in clay for 29 years and has long been fascinated by the Teapot throughout his career. Three of his teapots are featured in the Lark book of "500 Teapots." He has experience in gas, salt, soda and wood firings. His concentration recently has been in the area of wood firing. He spent January and February of this year in Penland, NC producing a body of work to fire in their wood kiln there. He has spent the last month and a half working at the studio, where he is a long distance member and will present the workshop on Sat. May 10, 2003 before heads back home to Edmonton to work .
