Eydie,

I live in Central Florida (Cocoa). We have a nice local pottery here which=20=
I=20
joined a few months ago because they have both a salt kiln and wood kiln. I=20
gave all my kilns away when I moved here and got the Skutt, electric=20
"retirement" kiln, which my husband had been bugging me to get for years.=20
Joining the pottery got me to meet some local potters and make new friends=20
and keep my hand in the wood/salt firings. I was going to build my own=20
diesel/wood, fast fire, tiny kiln but since I have these other kilns at my=20
disposal, I've been able to put that project on the back burner for a while.
St. Petersburg Clay has a wonderful studio, gallery, supply sales, anagama=20
kiln, salt kiln, gas kiln, etc. You might want to check it out when you visi=
t=20
the area. I was there over a year ago when they were just moving into that=20
huge facility and it was very impressive.
West Palm does have an art center and they have some nice workshops with=20
visiting potters.=A0 You can check out their website. I don't have the URL,=20=
but=20
you can get the name of the place either through the website or the Chamber=20
of Commerce. They usually advertise their workshops in CM.

Welcome to Florida. I love this place!!!!

Regards,
June Perry
