Starting with flat slabs, Lisa will demonstrate her idiosyncratic style of =
hand-building functional pots. Cutting away areas and re-attaching =
portions of the slabs, she will form uniquely shaped pots and decorate =
them with white and black slips. As time and class numbers allow, there =
will be a hands-on series of exercises for participants. A short =
biographical slide lecture will be presented on Friday evening.
Lisa received her MFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in =
Halifax, NS in 1988. Since then she's primarily been a studio potter =
showing work in national juried venues and by invitation, with workshops, =
and slide lectures given by request. Her work is featured in several =
private galleries and ceramic publications.=20
