Glaze test for CT Red, cone 6, ox.
Glaze tested on white midrange stoneware fired in electric oxidation to =
1220c.

5 min. soak
cool down 80c per hour to 800c

21.21 G.B.
17.17 Neph. Sye.
1.01 Talc
20.02 Whiting
ADD
0.15 Chrome=20
5.05 Tin Ox.
Note: All raw materials are measured up or down to the nearest whole =
decimal. =20
Colorants or additives to a 100 gram test batch are measured in percent =
to the 100 gram test batch.
Substitutions:
Frit 623 for G.B.
Results:
Gloss green glaze with dark red undertones. Lighter, covering green =
where thickest. I suspect my Chrome was too high, due to my new and bad =
scale. However, the glaze is smooth and a green I would hope to achieve =
again.

Alisa,
This is the same CT Red that I've used for the past year or so with very
good results and requests for the formula. Following is a page on my web
site with pieces done in this glaze. I would also be very interested in the
green your getting, any guess as to the amount of chrome you used?
