Tom Gray's website lists this glaze as "Seacrest Purple" aka "Seacrest Blue"
http://www.n2clay.com/tgp/glazes/glazes.html
Very nice high gloss.
On an iron bearing body: blue/purple depending on thickness and atmosphere
breaking to a nice brown on rims and edges or where thin.
On B-mix: Good. Blue where very thick Purple breaking to Amber where medium
to thin with slight crazing.
On Colemans porcelain: Outstanding! Purple/Violet breaks to Amber with no
crazing. Vary the thickness. Every line and scratch will puddle with the
purple color.
I spray this glaze in order to achieve the nice break between purple and
Amber. Mixed to Chocolate milk consistency. Took a few tries to dial it in.
It didn't seem to like the insides of pots.
We Re-oxidize when 10 is down for 20 minutes.
