Any recommendations on the following would be appreciated:

digital scales (i.e. Ohaus)--how well does yours work? Recalibration issues.

Skutt 1027-3 or 1227-3 with electric controller (I am want 31" height at
least 22+ inches wide)
Other comparable or better kilns for the price that you have been satisified
with? Warranty?

Thank you.

I use Ohaus digital scales in the kitchen to weigh out all the food my kids
eat - they are on carbohydrate controlled diets. This scale gets ALOT of
use. It has been replaced twice in four years. I don't think that is a
very good track record. Granted, Ohaus has been very good about replacing
their $100+ scale two times, but the cheap Swiss scales I bought as a
back-up have never failed me in five + years. (They are, however, not too
good at weighing small amounts of oxides. I took a second one into the
studio and discovered that.) I use traditonal triple beam Ohaus in the
pottery where speed is not really as big an issue as "When are we going to
eat, Mom?". I also find recalibration of the Ohaus to be a pain as I never
have an exact 1000g weight on hand.
I can't comment on the Skutt.
Best regards,

I have an Ohaus digital scale and it works great. I haven't had any
problems with it recalibrating.
