Not comestables?

Anyway...maybe good, maybe not-so-good...depends on what
they are and of course, on what effect their combustion
products at high heat may lend to the appearance of
the glazes of the Pots...

Experiment!

Remember to have good ventilation for fireing, and
especially so if experimenting with adding things...
whether combustables ( as Wood, unknown plant organics,
detritus, those wangley lengths of poison Sumac, Oak or
'Ivy' or the like, Seaweeds, or who knows what) or not
combustable
(as Salt, Soda, fertalizers, or...)

One is happiest to not be breathing the fumes thereof...

(Although some things tossed in there, may make rather nice
fumes I suppose...as say the bases of Poppies maybe, some of
those Plants from whose fibres Ropes are made, or the odd
Apple Pie even...)
