At Plainsman Clays we just got a new low fire red
from one of the quarries from the parent brick
company. Better than 95% passes a 325 mesh screen
and it is very plastic, it takes about 25% or more
of a non-plastic to create a great throwing body.
Hopefully we can mine a couple thousand tons and
have enough to last many years.
It fires a dark red yet the raw clay is a light
greenish color, it is not messy to work with.
We are trying to work it into our L210 body, that
should improve it drastically.

Look out, Kat and Tony are going to be making
flower pots.
